CARAT｜The Measure of Rarity
Diamond weight is measured in carats. One carat equals 0.2 grams. Each carat is divided into 100 points—so a 0.75-carat diamond is referred to as 75 points. Larger diamonds are exceptionally rare. As carat weight increases, diamond value rises exponentially.
COLOR｜The Less Color, The Higher Value
While many think diamonds are colorless, most actually possess subtle natural tones of yellow or brown.The GIA color scale ranges from D (completely colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown), across 23 grades. The closer to D, the rarer and more valuable the diamond.
CLARITY｜Nature's Signature Inside
GIA clarity grades range from Flawless (no inclusions visible under 10x magnification) to I3 (inclusions visible to the naked eye). Higher clarity means greater transparency and brilliance.
CUT｜The Source of Sparkle
Cut is the most critical of the 4Cs. It determines how brilliantly a diamond reflects light. An ideal cut captures and reflects nearly all incoming light through the crown and table, creating exceptional fire and brilliance.
